Our values

Right off the top, we know there are too many things that have been weaponized in the fitness community to make so many of us feel left out, less than, or unwelcome. No Judgment takes pride in setting a healthier foundation:

  • no mirrors

  • no diets

  • no before/after pics

  • no weight loss challenges or weighing period

  • no judgment

If you've ever felt uncomfortable in a gym, if you've ever said “I'd go but..." then No Judgment Fitness was designed for you. This gym was created explicitly as a place where trans, non binary and gender non conforming people could feel safe. Allies who support trans rights and BIPOC and queer people are welcome, too.

Hello!

I’m Kelly (they/them), the owner of No Judgment Fitness! I’m in my early 30s, navigating this wild world of ours as a trans parent, spouse, neighbor, and lover of a good treat (donuts, ice cream, a good cookie - you name it). Thankfully, I don’t jump into this venture alone - I have the support of my incredible wife (Katie) and the excitement of our fearless toddler (Amelia) and our sweet pup (Benedict), all of whom you might see running around the yard with joy.

A little more about me: I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and I’m working on my certification as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I’m passionate about trauma-informed care paired with solid education and good form, focusing on the joy we can find in moving and loving our bodies. I don’t always get everything right or know everything right away, but I believe there’s a lot of power in figuring it out together. I grew up playing volleyball and basketball in addition to being a huge marching band nerd. I’ve always been scared of gyms, feeling like I’m not enough or don’t know enough or can’t lift enough. But, No Judgment skips all of the harmful stuff and leaves the good, which is exactly how I knew it was the right place for me!

Personally, I found No Judgment Fitness at a time where I really needed self confidence, body positivity, and good community. I was one of those people who had the website pulled up for almost a year, waiting for the right moment to finally try it out. I found my courage and signed up for a class, bringing my two-month-old in tow, and haven’t looked back. No Judgment became a part of my regular routine not because I have to look or be a certain way, but precisely because there’s no expectation outside of safety, joy, and community. If that resonates with you, I’d love to have you come check us out!

scholarship program

If you haven’t quite figured us out yet, we’ll say it here to be abundantly clear: in this gym, we believe trans lives matter and BIPOC lives matter. Full stop.

As a way of living out those values, No Judgment Fitness offers a scholarship program where anyone who is trans or a person of color can come for free. We want to make sure inclusion and accessibility are always at the forefront. If this program would be helpful for you or someone you know, just let us know and we’ll get you set up.
